Additionally, I train master/doctoral students in the clinical setting and provide oversight of pediatric evaluation and therapy.
I am passionate about behavioral and developmental pediatrics, parent training, and co-parenting. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry - Medication Management
As a board-certified psychiatrist, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based care for children and adolescent through a combination of pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and specialized interventions. I believe in treating the person, not just the diagnosis, by integrating biological, psychological, and social perspectives into a cohesive clinical formulation. My approach is rooted in a strengths-based philosophy: I work to identify each individual’s inherent values and resources, shifting the focus from symptom reduction alone toward actively cultivating wellness and purpose.
I earned my medical degree from the University of Rochester, where I was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of clinical excellence and a commitment to humanistic care. I completed my general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), where I had the distinction of serving as Chief Fellow.
My clinical expertise spans the full continuum of care, including inpatient, residential, and community-based settings across the Portland Metro area’s major health systems such as OHSU, Kaiser Permanente, Unity Center for Behavioral Health, and LifeWorks NW. Beyond standard psychiatric training, I hold a specialized certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) via the Medical University of South Carolina. Additionally, my background as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) augments my clinical practice, allowing me to help people bridge the vital connection between somatic experience and mental health.
Regarding advocacy, I am deeply committed to LGBTQ+-affirming mental health care. My experience in this arena includes serving for two years as a Suicide Lifeline Counselor for The Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention and emotional regulation support for LGBTQ+ youth nationwide.

Medication Consultation & Management
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in the care of children and adolescents aged 7- 25 years, my philosophy is rooted in providing compassionate, individualized, and holistic care that prioritizes the unique needs of each child and family. I believe that mental health treatment should be grounded in evidence-based, conservative management strategies that respect the developmental stage and cultural background of each patient.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama, where I also earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). I'm board certified by the ANCC, having obtained my certification in Psychiatric Mental Health in 2019. My educational foundation began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University in 2014.
My approach is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel empowered to explore their emotions and challenges. I strive to incorporate holistic care practices, considering the physical, emotional, social, and environmental factors that contribute to mental health. By collaborating with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals, I aim to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that support long-term wellness and resilience, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Executive Functioning & Social Communication
I am a licensed speech-language pathologist with a special interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those with developmental disabilities. My work centers on building functional communication, social, and executive functioning skills that foster confidence, independence, and meaningful connection across home, school, and community settings.
I take a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach when partnering with individuals and families. Together, we explore both the strengths and challenges that can come with having a neurodivergent brain. Much of my work focuses on executive functioning skills, including planning, time management, task initiation, organization, problem-solving, flexibility, working memory, emotional regulation, impulse control, sustained attention, and self-monitoring.
I also enjoy supporting individuals in developing social communication skills. Learning how to initiate interactions, build meaningful relationships, and sustain friendships is deeply important work. I believe that experiencing connection and belonging through friendship is something every individual deserves, and I feel privileged to help support that journey in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
Lastly, I strongly believe in a collaborative, team-based approach. Caregiver partnership is central to my work, as I value open communication and shared problem-solving to support carryover and long-term success.
I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Portland State University in 2016. Since then, I have gained diverse clinical experience across early intervention, early childhood education, pediatric skilled nursing, and outpatient pediatric care. In addition to providing comprehensive speech-language assessment and treatment, I have served on multidisciplinary autism evaluation teams and held the role of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Team Lead. Additionally, I have provided training and presentations to multiple local organizations and groups.
